structure and moving the story along with a purpose.
Particular attention on punctuation - sentences, inverted commas and
apostrophes.
Using stylistic devices such as similes and metaphors.
Children listened to a story about two boysand an adventure that they
had on a snowy day. As the story was told the items discussed were
modeled and exemplified.
Some time was given for planning and 45 minutes for the riting of the
story in line with the similar activity in the SATs long writing task
