"The bully asleep"
Weread the poem round the class and worked through each question in
turn deciding whether or not the answer could be extracted direcy from
the text or whether we had to deduce or infer an answer from what was
said.
We practiced constructing answers using the structure of the question
plus the information retrieve or deduced.
We identified the verse from whic information had been gathered

Eted the exercise individually before carrying on by considering "The
chicken gave it to me" without thebenefit of having it read and
discussed before hand.
