Maths : Decimals

We revisiting the concept of decimals being a different way of
expressing values of less than 1
We drew parallels to the use of fractions, the difference being that
we only use 1/10, 1/100, and 1/1000
We went over the use of the four operations in decimal calculations
Stressed the importance of place value and heposition of the decimal
poin
We worked through example sums on the whiteboard and pointed out the
use of the placeholder when calculating sums suc as 3.02 + 2.2
for practice and assessmentpurposedwe completed NHM6 Pp 51, 52
